This is one of the most common questions I get asked in leadership development workshops. There is no one answer to this question. But there are indicators to look out for that help you determine if someone will turn things around. But before you look at the person, take a look at yourself. Have you done everything in your power to set that person up for success? Have you given them the necessary training, support, clarity and feedback to get on the right path? Then, these are some positive indicators to look out for: ⭐ Accountability ⭐ Progress ⭐ Initiative ⭐ Self-awareness And just because someone doesn't turn it around, it doesn't mean that are useless! There may well be other contextual factors at play, like the wrong manager, the wrong role, the wrong team or the wrong company.
